The Internet had evolved through a couple of generations so far.
The first was slow, and not too many people used it. After a few years it flourished into a massive network. Web pages were displayed with little graphics to accommodate the slow speeds in which users were used to surf at.
After a while, with the birth of the Web 2.0 the internet have grown to a massive community where millions of movies and tunes are distributed and shared through millions of online contributors. Thousands of new blogs are created each day and hundreds of thousands of videos and audio files are published a week. The internet connection has also evolved from Broadband to High Speed Internet often offered by cable and phone providers. But what’s next?
The internet 3.0 is here for the new generation of the web where you not only do online shopping and email but where you rent movies, play games and do it really. Really Fast, and most importantly Everywhere you go! No need to be tied down to a cable connection.
Is that really the Internet 3.0? No.
At WeWi we understood something the cable and phone companies didn’t. We understood that the users who are surfing the internet don’t want to be restricted to how much they are allowed to download a month.
The fees the phone and cable companies are charging is also not fitted to our generation;
The internet is NOT a luxury anymore. It’s as important to our daily life as much as food and water. Why should something that is so essential and integral to our daily routine cost so much?
It shouldn’t. and it won’t. So far, there was very little competition in Canada, so the major players didn’t have to compete much with their prices to allure subscribers. That has changed with cellular phones in the past years but the internet still has minimal key players who are charging greedy amount for something that costs them so little. Worry not. We are here to change that!
